PRICING / BEFORE YOU BOOK
Get the right questions ready before agreeing to locksmith work. The specific lock, vehicle, parts and access conditions determine the estimate.
Call 202-688-3595Describe the goal and ask what the estimate includes. A simple access request, a multi-cylinder rekey and an all-keys-lost vehicle replacement do not have the same scope. Tell us how many locks or keys are involved, whether access is restricted and whether a working key remains.
Ask about a call-out or service charge, labor, replacement hardware and vehicle programming when applicable. Confirm whether the quoted amount includes all agreed work and what circumstances could change it. If inspection reveals a different problem, ask for the revised scope and price before authorizing the additional work.
When comparing options, compare the same service. A spare car key is different from restoring access and replacing the only lost key. Rekeying a suitable cylinder is different from replacing an entire lock. Ask what is retained, what changes and how the completed work will be tested.
Request an invoice that describes the agreed work and charges. Test affected doors and keys before the visit ends and ask who to contact about a problem. Discuss any applicable warranty or follow-up terms directly; the website does not substitute for the terms of your particular service.
